Montana Hunts

DL ELK OUTFITTERS INC. Is based in the heart of the Big Belt Mountains some 50 miles south west of Great Falls, Montana since 1984. Our hunts are all conducted in Private Land, in an area that has one of the highest populations of resident elk herds in the state. Here on our private leases we guide for elk, mule deer, whitetail deer and pronghorn antelope. Hunters arrive in Great Falls the day before their hunt is scheduled to start and are picked up the following morning and taken to camp..

The area is abundant with many different game animals, including elk, mule deer, whitetail deer, antelope, black bear, mountain lion, coyotes and grouse. We hunt only using 4 wheel drive vehicles to access the hunting areas. The hunts are all conducted out of our comfortable cabins located right on the hunting area.

The elevation in our area ranges from 4500 feet to 6500 feet and temperatures during the fall hunts can very from 60 degrees above to zero to minus temperatures with snow.

Fees for all guided hunts includes, guides, home-cooked meals, a cook, lodging during your hunt, and all field preparation of game animals harvested.

Additional expenses are you license fees, lodging before and after your hunt, transportation to and from Great Falls, Montana, additional animals harvested during your hunt, taxidermy, processing of game animals, and gratuities. We offer both a professional taxidermist and meat processor for you convenience.
